Horse trainer and technical advisor for The Horse Whisperer has returned to his calling. If you’ve ever wondered how horse and human can work together, attend a Buck Brannaman clinic. Whether it’s a colt class, horsemanship, cow-working or ranch roping, you’ll see how harmony develops between horse and rider under the tutelage of the 36-year-old horse trainer.
Brannaman is making up for lost time. Last summer, he was on a three-month hiatus from the clinic circuit while serving as technical adviser and stunt double to actor/director Robert Redford for The Horse Whisperer. This year, he scheduled 45 clinics from New York to California, Montana to Arizona.
The Horse Whisperer was released last spring by Touchstone Pictures. His opinion of the film he helped to shape? “It’s a good movie,” Brannaman says.
